The last three months has seen a very busy time at Khanyisa Community Church. Being a community-based church, we have primarily been looking caring for members of the community who are based in areas such as Tambo, Gugulethu, Manenberg, Nyanga, KTC and other communities. We have also extended our supported to a group of women and men who originate from Zimbabwe who found themselves stranded once lockdown was announced.
We are absolutely grateful to women and men who are part of the Khanyisa Community Church COVID-19 Fund. These soldiers have been working hard distributing food parcels to homes. We have also seen our pastoral team heading out, assisting those who are struggling.
We are particularly grateful to all of you who have given to this fund. Financial support has come from our partner churches in the UK. These include churches in Torquay and Farnham. Individuals from abroad have given generously to the fund. Through your giving, we have managed to raise close to R40 000. Thank you again.
We have also been supported by a partner church based in Cape Town. This church has gone an extra mile in ensuring that we have of our sermons recorded and uploaded on our website.
Finally, elders at Khanyisa Community Church have been working hard in ensuring that we are keeping community together during this time.
